Recognizing Efforts

UK Chapter Appreciation and Recognition

UK Chapter Board members work hard, they volunteer 5-10 hours a month to be able to serve IMA members in the UK as well as members around the world whenever getting a chance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank two founding Board members, who due to personal and professional commitments will not be able to continue serving on the Board and also introduce a new Board Member

Our former Founding VP of Events Moayed El-Jamal and our former Founding Treasurer Eugene Kornilovich, they both put in a lot of effort and time as well as did prove that they have a great volunteering mind-set. It is a huge loss for the UK Chapter that they decided to leave due to their commitments but we do  understand and appreciate how they tried to fit the volunteering in with their new challenges until the very last minute.  Thank you both,  it has been a real pleasure working with you and all the best in your new job Eugene!

I would also like to welcome our new VP of Events Diya El-Shafie, he has impressive passion  for volunteering and a vision for his role. The interview in this newsletter will tell you more about him and his experience.

In the UK Chapter we have different volunteering opportunities whether on the Board, in our Volunteering Committee or in one-off projects, there is always a way to volunteer which is suitable to work/life balance and adds to your personal and professional skills. I am sure we will be seeing more of Moayed and Eugene volunteering as well as other IMA members.

Looking forward to hearing from our volunteers and IMA members!
